Lucy Copleston initially trained as a silversmith and jeweller, graduating with an MA from the Royal College of Art in 1970. Her family background is also closely affiliated to the arts; her grandfather was Stanley Royle, the landscape painter, her mother, Jean Royle also trained in the fine arts as did her sister Anthea Copleston.
A qualified teacher, Lucy now teaches jewellery making and makes items to commission.
She first became aware of the power of energy healing when she received healing herself whilst recovering from an operation in 1981, but it wasn’t until 1999 that she realised her own gift of healing. In 2000 she began her training with the National Federation of Spiritual Healers. The Federation was founded in 1955 and is the principal organisation for spiritual healing in the United Kingdom. In June 2004 she successfully completed her training and the examination to become a Full Healer Member of the NFSH (Membership no. 23086).
The healing Lucy gives is termed ‘energy’ healing in order not to confuse it with any religious doctrine. Like Rekei healing, it uses natural energies available in the universe. Healing is unconditional, as is the energy which makes this possible.
Lucy attends a weekly healing circle locally where she gives and receives healing and sends ‘Distant Healing’. She also participates monthly in an ‘awareness group’ which is structured to develop, through meditation and organised interaction with other healers, sensitivity and awareness of higher levels of consciousness and healing energies.
